About us

We dared to volunteer.

What about you? When will you take the plunge?

At EDP, we believe that volunteering multiplies the purpose and meaning of what we do. We see volunteering as a tool capable of bridging the gap between the company and its communities, putting the talents and skills of our people at the service of the communities where we operate, contributing to their development and transformation, but also as a tool that enables the development of our volunteers’ personal and professional skills.

We value the balance between skills-based volunteering and social volunteering, opening our doors to everyone and all their skills, and we challenge families, friends, partners, and customers to volunteer with us.

Areas in which we invest:

We believe that volunteering plays a crucial role in addressing the challenges of our time, which is why our projects aim to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Currently, EDP Volunteering operates in 17 regions, enabling us to launch global volunteer initiatives and campaigns (that have an impact in the regions where the Group is present). Additionally, each region has the opportunity to organize local initiatives aligned with the EDP Group’s global strategy, addressing the social and economic needs of each region to better serve its stakeholders and communities.

Global Campaigns:

  1. Christmas Campaign (November/December): Strategically organized by location, we bring the magic to make Christmas more humane and joyful for those in need.
  2. Energy Campaign (May/June): Promotes skills-based volunteering aligned with the EDP Group’s core business, reinforcing investment in projects and showcasing the impact of previous initiatives.
  3. Go Green Campaign (September/October and April/May): Investment in environmental projects, reinforcing EDP’s goal of positively impacting the current state of our planet.

Volunteers now have the equivalent of 6 working days per year to dedicate to volunteer activities organized by the Program or chosen by themselves (“My Cause”), compared to the previous 4 hours for EDP employees involved in volunteer work. Additionally, volunteers who participate in skills-based volunteering, international volunteer work, or volunteer project management can dedicate an additional 5 workdays per year.

Together we make a bigger impact!

Take the plunge and become a volunteer!
